Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht (UMCU)

The Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht is an academic hospital affiliated with the University of Utrecht. The UMCU was created by merging the units Academic Hospital Utrecht (AZU), the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital (WKZ) and the Medical Faculty of Utrecht University (MFU).
Commissioned by the UMCU, Armada Janse designed, produced and assembled both the indoor and outdoor signage. Including 30 double sided illuminated aluminium lightboxes with an acrylic front which are internally lit with LED lighting.
In addition, the building is equipped with approx. 285 unlit signage boards, such as floor boards, lift boards, hanging boards for the lift squares and stair boards.
The parking garage has been provided with approx. 150 different signs, both flat and set signs, and Armada Janse installed different floor plans which are fitted with hinge strips.
